The name "Blue Mammoth Design" stems out of an interest in combining the archaic with the contemporary. The woolly mammoth, married with the color blue, seemed to represent this concept well, as the name combined this icon of the past with a saturated, modern color. Once the name was coined, the combination of this prehistoric beast with ultramarine blue promised an intriguing image.
